Lamkin re-sign Miguel Angel Jimenez

newest brand ambassador. He joins a vast list of top-ranked Tour players who endorse the company’s products

L One of the game’s most popular and engaging

figures, Jimenez is currently No. 40 on the Official World Golf Ranking. A 21-time winner on the Euro- pean Tour, he uses the traditional Perma-Wrap grip. For more than a decade, Jimenez has relied on a Lamkin wrap-style grip to fuel his perform- ance.

“Miguel is one of those rare athletes who has

truly captured the attention of fans based on his in- credible play as well as his larger than life person- ality,” says Bob Lamkin, President and CEO of Lamkin Grips. “He is very discerning about the equipment he uses and has long preferred the per- formance, style and feel of Lamkin grips.” As part of the multi-year agreement, the 51-year- old Spaniard will be showcased in Lamkin’s global marketing initiatives and provide player testing and product development feedback.

adidas Golf introduces Boost technology

adidas Golf has announced that boost cushioning technology is now available in golf footwear for the first time, highlighted by the all-new adipower boost for both men and women. Boost technology is designed to deliver maximum energy return, responsiveness and comfort.

adidas’ boost foam cushioning is comprised of thou- sands of TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) energy cap- sules fused together by way of a proprietary high pressure steam molding process. Its function is to store and release energy efficiently throughout the swing and thus delivering maximum energy return as athletes perform. While traditional EVA foam hardens and soſtens dramati-

cally when temperatures fluctuate, boost foam retains con- sistent cushioning and is incredibly responsive in both hot and cold conditions. Combined with a lace-in saddle, fit-

sleeve tongue wrapping, external heel counter and a fitfoam PU sockliner, adipower boost de- livers a more precise, comfortable fit for all golfers. adidas Golf conducted extensive player testing and results from forceplate testing com-

bined with critical tour player feedback for more than a year, incorporating key learnings and utilising gripmore technology in the shoe’s construction. For the first time, adidas Golf has placed gripmore cleats of varying sizes, strategically locating them on the outsole to deliver improved and more efficient traction and stability where it’s needed most. The women’s adipower boost features many of the same design properties and technolo-

gies as the men’s model, including boost midsole foam in the heel for endless energy return and a lace in saddle. Also similar to the men’s model, the external heel counter adds even more lateral stability and support of the foot and gripmore technology is placed in the same location on the outsole for instantly recognisable traction.
