GIVE and go // ERICA GEREMIA
Le Moyne’s new addition, the D-III Attacker of the Year at Cortland, is a little bit country
Who is your favorite athlete? Carmelo Anthony. He plays with a passion and with a smile on his face,
like I do. He always gives back too. What’s one thing that always puts you in a good
mood? Country music. I love to sing and dance, especially when my parents and brothers are laughing at me in the background. My favorite artist is Luke Bryan.
Do you have any pregame rituals? I always look forward to getting a text from my mom and dad wishing me good luck. I also always pray to my grandfather, who passed away years ago, just hoping that he will be there during that game.
If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? Blake Shelton. He’s very down to earth. I follow him on Twitter and
he’s always tweeting his fans. I love his show, “The Voice,” and think he’s hysterical. It would be really fun to sit down and have dinner with him.
What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done? This past June, I went out of my comfort zone and put in an application in to see if I could get a Team USA tryout. They accepted me and I was lucky enough just to be able to play there for three days with the best players in the country.
What did you want to be when you were younger? A professional soccer player. I played travel soccer until eighth grade.
Where did you go on your last vacation?
It was probably in eighth grade, when my parents took my brother and me on a cruise. We don’t take many family vacations, because both my brother and I play a numerous amount of sports. I’m always working too, because my family owns an Italian restaurant, Rico’s.
Overtime (from Johns Hopkins attackman Shack Stanwick): If you could go to any city or country, what would it be? I would really like to explore and go to Italy. I have family over there, and they’ve been dying for me to visit, but I haven’t had the time yet because all I do is play lacrosse.
Double Overtime (from Mia Zheng, Georgetown, Texas): What is your favorite lacrosse stick?
I don’t believe a lacrosse stick actually helps an individual lacrosse
player. It’s the player using the stick. Pose a question for our next subject.
What do you think it would take to win a national championship? 72 LACROSSE MAGAZINE » November 2014
