ADVERTISEMENT FEATURE COVER STORY SHAPING THE FUTURE
For over 28 years, the IGE+XAO Group has been a software publisher designing, producing, selling and ensuring the maintenance of a range of electrical PLM and CAD software designed to help manufacturers design and maintain the electrical section of any installation. Here the company discusses its products and services in more depth
was marked by the release of the new version of the software SEE Electrical and the launch of SEE Web Catalogue, a new service that allows the user to download catalogues of electrical equipment and use them directly in the software. Two new software packages

GE+XAO has built a complete range of electrical CAD/PLM software applications
designed for all industry fields. The group employs 388 people around the world in 30 locations and 18 countries, and has supplied 80,000 licences. The group’s objective is to provide software packages tailored to each industry (environment, working methods, etc). The group aims to offer a complete portfolio for each business size (SMEs, SMB and large corporations). This means that the group can cover requirements that go from simple electrical schematics to PLM (product lifecycle management). The IGE+XAO Group has defined eight strategic industries - aerospace, automotive, railway, shipbuilding, equipment and machinery, automation and plant, power generation and energy, and construction. For each industry, the offer has been segmented into six domains - electrical design (the core business of IGE+XAO), system design, electrical manufacturing, data management, communication and simulation, and diagnosis.

Two new software packages complete the PDM software offer - above: SEE Project Manager LT and below: SEE Project Manager
complete the PDM software offer - SEE Project Manager LT (easy to use and simple to deploy a documentation management solution for teams that need fast deployment, fast ramp-up and immediate ROI) and the SaaS solution (Software as a Service) SEE Project Manager in the Cloud (to view, manage and share projects and electrical data on any terminal connected to the internet). IGE+XAO also expects the launch of SEE 3D Electrical, a new 3D environment dedicated to the design and maintenance of electrical systems and will soon be integrated with various software solutions in the group, in particular with SEE Electrical Expert Panel (design of the cabinet), Synoptic (synoptic wiring) as for SEE Electrical Cabinet Layout. By the end of 2014, the IGE+XAO Group
will be able to propose the 3D Panel package, with advanced features of routing in order to optimise the lengths of the cables, wire paths, as well as the index of filling of the ducts.
