degradation by measuring internal voltage and resistance with display of PASS, CAUTION and FAIL to quickly check battery efficiency, this tester is perfect for industrial applications, laboratories and anywhere else that relies on the power of batteries. Featuring internal memory, the Hioki 3554 can store up to 4800 sets
of battery data and your
testing information can be sent directly to PC via a USB cable and can be interacted with further using Hioki’s bundled software package. With the Hioki 3554 as part of your kit, you’ll never have to worry about battery levels getting low again.

he Hioki 3554 is an advanced, portable battery tester suitable for maintaining and checking the
temperature of a test flame, the amount of time the flame is to be applied, there must be no burning drops of plastic to ignite cotton placed underneath the test specimens. Any afterglow must not exceed 30 seconds. In January 2015 an amendment is being introduced to
the Electrical Installation regulations requiring Consumer units to be manufactured from none combustible materials or to be enclosed in a metal enclosure. The amendment has largely been championed by London Fire brigade who have noted that since low specification Plastic Consumer units became popular they have seen a five fold increase of fires per week over a 5 year period

distributor Switchtec, Hongfa’s high voltage DC power relays are designed to offer superior performance and reliability in these applications. The relays use Hongfa’s own patented technology and intellectual
of
performance. Dubbed the HFE18 and HFE80, the relays feature a ceramic chamber filled with a mix of hydrogen and nitrogen gas that provides high arc extinguishing capabilities and a high DC voltage cut-off. This feature also protects the contacts against environmental oxidation and corrosion, thus extending relay life even further.

Pentair introduces first BIM content for Raychem Heat-Tracing lectrical heat-tracing specialist, Pentair
Building Solutions, has launched the industry’s first BIM (Building Information Modelling) content for heat- tracing solutions. The comprehensive suite of new tools includes BIM families and the dynamic Raychem Trace-It Revit add-in for winter safety applications and hot water maintenance. With this content, architects, engineers, contractors and building owners can easily incorporate heat-tracing content into their building models to optimise efficiencies and performance. BIM is widely accepted as the integrated process for holistic project collaboration and adoption rates are rapidly increasing across Europe and the USA. In the UK, this is reinforced by the requirement for BIM Level 2 on government projects by 2016. By bringing project teams together at the early stages, BIM has a critical impact in the delivery of more efficient construction projects throughout design, build, operation and maintenance phases.
