aula Creamer (left), the 2010 U.S. Women’s Open champion, and soon-to-be Women’s Open champion Michelle Wie hit opening pitch shots before a Giants’ game at AT&T
Park the week of the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic in April. It was a memorable night for NCGA members, who were invited to watch batting
practice on the field, and enjoyed a pre-game chat with Creamer, Wie, Juli Inkster, Christina Kim and Brittany Lincicome. The golf at Lake Merced later that week was just as exciting, with 17-year-old Lydia Ko capturing her first LPGA title as a professional.
