This year’s Frankfurt Book Fair will take place from 8 to 12 October with Finland as guest of honour. Of particular interest to readers of Research Information are Hall 4.2, which is the home of STM and academic publishing, specialist information and education, and Hall 8, which is the home of international publishers.

Launching this year, London Info International is a new event aimed at connecting the providers and users of online resources and information tools. The focus on the provider side is on science, technology and medical publishers. The event, which is free for
visitors, aims to attract content managers and buyers from industry, academia and the public sector.
In line with the event’s goals of helping make connections, the event includes speed networking sessions and product showcases as well as more traditional show- floor presentations. There will also be a drinks reception. London Info International is being held at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London on 24 and 25 November.
