Boat Parade of Lights The 40th Annual Boat Parade of Lights runs two weekends in December. Boaters from around Orange County descend on Dana Point Harbor to show off their festively lit vessels.

Ocean Institute Jazz Festival Dana Point Symphony Once a month from March through May the Dana Point Symphony brings world-class classical music to St. Edwards Church. Festival of Whales The 44th Annual Festival of Whales is a two-weekend long celebration of whales, with a parade, whale watching cruises and many

Egg Hunts Two egg hunts are held simultaneously on the Saturday before Easter at Sea Canyon Park and Pines Park.


California Wine Festival Lantern Bay Park


Wag-a-thon OC Dana Point Harbor hosts this canine- focused festival with fun for pets and people too. Activities include a 4K walk, relays, cos- tume contests and pet tricks. Proceeds go to the Pet Project Foundation.


Earth Day Fun and educational environmentally-focused activi- ties are held at various points around the city, including the beaches and the Harbor.

DP Grand Prix of Cycling The largest single-day criterium bike race in America brings pro and amateur cyclists together to compete on a fast course winding through down- town Dana Point. Dana Point Food, Wine and Music Festival Sea Terrace Park


Doheny Surf Festival Surf cul- ture and beach lifestyle festival with arts, crafts, collectibles, surfboards, SUPs, other beach gear, surfing exhibitions, beer garden, live music and more. The Doheny Longboard Surfing Association also hosts their an- nual ’60s Vintage Surf Contest featuring competitors riding classic surfboards from the 1960s.

Commerce Events Networking at Noon is a monthly event designed to provide attendees with the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal at a Chamber member restaurant while discussing business with others. These events are held on the first Thursday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.


“Third Thursday” Mixers are held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at area Chamber member businesses on the third Thursday of each month.


Dana Point Chamber of Com- merce Installation and Awards celebrates member businesses and individuals’ accomplish- ments and announces the new board members and ambas- sadors for the year. It is held in January at one of the city’s resort hotels.


Mayor’s State of the City Luncheon is held in April/May at one of the city’s resort hotels.

4th of July July 2015


4th of July Celebrations Enjoy fun water fights by day—landside or aboard small watercraft—and a spectacular fireworks show by night at Dana Point Harbor. Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Tune your radio to KSBR 88.5FM for a musical score synchronized to the show.


Summer Concerts in the Park Free concerts in local parks are held every Sunday in July from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at various city parks. See www.danapoint.org for artists and venues.
