Dana Point’s coastline is brimming with stunning beaches where ocean waves meet the sand on one side and majestic cliffs line the other. From the


wave-free waters of Baby Beach behind the Harbor breakwater, to the iconic surf breaks at Salt Creek, Strand, Doheny and Capistrano, the city offers a wide variety of beaches perfect for relaxation, water sports and tide pool exploration. Each has its own unique character but all offer breathtaking views and a myriad of opportunities to participate in the classic Southern California coastal lifestyle.


Baby Beach Inside the Dana Point Harbor at the end of Dana Point Harbor Drive Inside the harbor jetty/break- water, no waves, so perfect for little ones. Stand-up paddlers, kayakers and outriggers launch here. Free parking.


Dana Point Marine


Protected Area Behind the Ocean Institute at the end of Dana Point Harbor Drive The ocean science and mari- time history education center, historic tall ships and access to tide pools. Free parking.


Dana Strand Along Pacific Coast Highway and Selva Road The beauty of a romantic cove and the thrill of a perfect wave. Ample free parking.


Salt Creek Beach North of Dana Strands at Ritz Carlton Drive Snack bar, basketball courts, large grass park, wide sandy beaches and a great surf break. Paid parking, with a bit of a hilly walk. (949) 923-2280
