“Harboring the Good Life” is more than just the city motto, it’s a way of life in Dana Point.


Owned by the County of Orange, Dana


Point Harbor is an important entertainment, shopping and dining center with more than 70 of the city’s businesses located within its boundaries. From recreational water activities such as sailing, stand-up paddling, kayaking and Jet Skiing, to fishing, whale watching or visiting the Ocean Institute to learn about ocean ecology and the area’s rich maritime history, the Harbor is a favorite among locals and tourists alike. With more than 20 unique shops, 16


restaurants, picnic and barbecue areas and dozens of activities, there’s something for everyone at the Dana Point Harbor. The Harbor hosts over 2,400 boats full-time, has more than 20 businesses of- fering boating and marine services and is a premier destination for visiting boaters. Guest slips are offered in both the East


and West basins of the Harbor. And the yacht clubs—Dana Point and Dana West yacht club—offer guest slips to visiting members of reciprocal clubs. The Harbor is also the location of many of


the city’s most popular events including the Dana Point Festival of Whales, In-water Boat Show, Toshiba Tall Ships Festival, Turkey Trot and Boat Parade of Lights, to name a few.
