Independents’ Day kick- starts a month-long loyalty campaign to support Guildford’s independent businesses


National Independents’ Day on the 4 July is fast becoming a recognised day in the retail calendar, supporting and celebrating the UK’s dynamic mix of independent businesses with the aim of encouraging more of us to shop local. Te team at Experience Guildford are ‘super sizing’ Independents’ Day this year in Guildford, introducing a month-long loyalty campaign to showcase the eclectic mix of independent businesses in the town, and reward visitors with cash prizes with a combined value of £1,000 to spend in their favourite independent businesses. From the 4 July to the 31 July visitors who buy


a product or service from three independent stores or businesses in Guildford will be entered into a prize draw to win one of 10 £100 vouchers. With over 120 of Guildford’s independent businesses signed up to the scheme, visitors won’t have to look far to find an independent store, bar, cafe, venue or
