Single parent holidays

Research has shown that single parents often fi nd holidays are not as they expect: the dreaded single supplements and the feeling of loneliness when staying in a hotel full of couples. Small Families Holidays has the answer.

Its

founders, Carole Cooper and Allen Miller, have over 50 years’ experience between them in the holiday industry. With personal experience of the frustrations of single parent holidays, they realised that a whole new concept was needed. T e result is group holidays which have a great mix of both children and adults. All the stress of holidaying as a single parent is

removed by travelling in the security of a group. Clients usually meet each other at the airport, and once they land they are met and given a private transfer direct to their hotel. Small Families hosts are always at the hotel check-in and there are reserved tables each night in the restaurant for the group, so nobody has to eat alone. Every last detail has been covered so that clients can just sit back and enjoy their holiday. One client enthused, “Just imagine a holiday

where you can be safe in the knowledge that your children are having the time of their lives. T ey have kids’ clubs, pools, beaches and many sports and activities. We were surrounded by very, very happy children who defi nitely didn’t want their holiday to fi nish.” While Small Families know that happy children

mean happy parents these holidays are not only about the children. “For the fi rst time on holiday I had the opportunity to relax and take a bit of ‘me’ time, a chance to visit the spa, read a book, sunbathe without constant interruptions and just enjoy the company of the other parents.” In the many years of off ering these specialist

holidays, Small Families has given its clients the opportunity to enjoy the beaches of Europe and North Africa, the glaciers of Iceland, to cruise the crystal waters of the Caribbean and ski the slopes of Canada. Further afi eld, the company has explored the awesome Galapagos Islands and taken tea with Santa in Lapland. Its holidays off er something for every single parent family — Small Families Holidays really does take care of everything.
