When Jerry Lohr selected the Central Coast as the location for his vineyards in the 1960s, the region was still untested. By carefully choosing his sites and nurturing the land with sustainable farming techniques, Lohr produced some of the first wines from Central California. Today, J. Lohr produces varietals from estate vineyards in three California regions, Paso Robles,

Monterey County, and Napa Valley, and offers four tiers of award-winning wines, J. Lohr Estates, J. Lohr Vineyard Series, J. Lohr Cuvée Series, and J. Lohr Gesture. J. Lohr has a reputation for both continuity
and quality, and one of the reasons for the company’s ongoing success has been its steady and knowledgeable leadership. Jeff Meier, President and COO, began with the company more than 25 years ago, while the next generation of Lohrs, Steve, Lawrence, and Cynthia, carry on their father’s vision as Chairman and CEO, Director of Wine Education, and Vice President of Marketing, respectively.
