Three years after it unveiled the ZSK Mc18 with a torque density of 18 Nm/cm3, Coperion launched its latest update at K 2013 – the ZSK 32 Mc18 Smart. This features various improvements including a new control system, CSpro, a completely redesigned die head, and a retrofi ttable high-resolution torque measurement unit. Coperion says ZSK Mc18 units are very cost-effective, even when processing small batches with frequent product changes.

to clean, thanks in part to its screw shaft axes being only 800 mm above fl oor level. Ancillary units can be mounted by a swivel arm and can be operated from fl oor level without the need for step ladders, platforms or overhead cranes. The feeders are mounted on a platform on the drive unit or on the swivel arm of the ZS-B twin-screw side feeder.
