news NFM targets South America

NFM Welding Engineers has signed a representation agreement with Peru-based NobleCorp, covering Peru, Chile and Colombia. The agreement includes NFM’s TEM Series of co-rotating intermeshing twin-screw extruders, which it manufac- tures and sells in North America under exclusive licence from Toshiba Machine Japan.

Jan van Bakergem, global MD com- pounding systems for NFM, said that the company wants to build on recent successes in Latin America, especially in Mexico. It has already established sales in Latin America with its petro- chemical/polymer finishing and rubber extrusion equipment, and it is now looking to increase its presence in the polymer compounding,

direct extrusion, and adhesive markets. “We’ve had a number of successful

co-rotating twin-screw installa- tions for olefin, colour, and nanoclay compounding over the past few years, primarily in Mexico,” said van Bakergem.

“We’re excited about the new markets and established network which Noble brings to further solidify NFM’s presence in Latin America.” ❙ www.nfm.net
