Fred Olsen to make Bristol debut with four departures Hollie-Rae Merrick
Fred Olsen Cruise Lines will sail from Avonmouth for the first time in April.
Boudicca will operate four cruises from the Bristol port this year, including a 14-night Canary Island and Portugal itinerary and a 28-night cruise featuring the Adriatic and Venice. The line said it was important to
offer customers living in the region an opportunity to cruise from a port close to home.
Nathan Philpot, sales and
marketing director for the cruise line, said: “We are pleased to be giving guests in the southwest
and Wales the chance to cruise with us from on their doorstep, with a choice of four sailings from Avonmouth in this inaugural turnaround season. “We know our guests appreciate the ease and convenience of
travelling on holiday from close to home, and we hope that as many local people as possible will take up this opportunity to explore the world from Avonmouth.” Boudicca’s two other sailings
from Avonmouth are a six-night Mansions & Museums cruise, departing May 11, and a 14-night Discover Iceland & Norway itinerary, departing June 14. The former leads in at £449 and calls at Getxo (Bilbao) in Spain and La Pallice and Lorient in France, while the latter leads in at £1,259 and calls at Reykjavik and Isafjordur in Iceland and Olden, Flam, Gudvangen and Bergen in Norway.
