The Orca Bath Lift allows the user to sit lower and more towards the back of the bath, giving extra leg room and good immersion in the bath water. Its high backrest provides good postural support whether upright or reclined. Supplied with blue covers, however the textured surface gives non-slip effect so can be used without if required. Large suction cups ensure bath lift remains secure even on dimpled bath surfaces. Side flaps ensure side transfers are simple, safe and without risk of entrapment. Easy to operate, the Orca has a lightweight battery contained within the ergonomic, compact hand control which features raised, coloured buttons for those with hand or visual problems and an emergency stop feature. Compact and easy to transport and store, it folds away by simply pushing the backrest forward and folding to the base section, the two sections fitting neatly into one another. Smooth surfaces ensure effortless cleaning.

Large Suction Cups Ideal For Travel Our OT says... Bath Lifts
When transferring into a bath using a bath lift the person needs to have the ability to lift their legs up and over the side of the bath whilst sitting on the lift. It is often helpful to have a grab rail fixed on the long bath wall to provide a steadying support whilst they are doing this. See pages 76-78 for our full range of grab rails and ensure that these are fitted securely by a suitably qualified person. People who are shorter in height or who have a high sided bathmay find getting onto the bath lift seat difficult – this can be made easier by the use of a bath step at the side of the bath. See Pages 74-75 for our range of bath steps.
