• Does it need to be portable to be used in many different settings eg: home and school?
• Is the carer able to use equipment safely?
• Will it meet the need of the child and do what you want it to?
• Where will the equipment be stored? Is there room?
It is advisable to have a professional assessment to help identify the correct type of equipment for your child, particularly if they have complex needs.
