A DIVISION OF SYNOVUS BANK, MEMBER FDIC CB&T

Asst. Vice President, Business Banker 706.644.2820

CHARLOTTE QUIRK

Charlotte Quirk loves driving down a Columbus street and seeing thriving businesses she played a part in help- ing to be successful. The Assistant Vice President on the CB&T Business Banking team specializes in Small Busi- ness Administration (SBA) lending. She meets with a lot of start-up businesses or those who don’t meet the con- ventional lending standard for starting or growing their business. Her favorite aspect is helping people who have a concept to realize their entrepreneurial dreams. The Harris County native didn’t intend to go into bank- ing when she majored in Marketing at Georgia State Uni- versity in Atlanta. After graduation, her mother, who works at TSYS, suggested Charlotte look into CB&T’s Manage- ment Associate Program. Charlotte was accepted into the program and quickly became a key member of the team. She discovered that her training in effective communica- tion makes her a natural banker.

During the past six years, Charlotte has risen from Assistant Branch Manager to Branch Manager to Busi- ness Banker. She finds that in her current role, making other people successful is where she gets the most satisfaction.

Her community activities also bring her a lot of fulfill- ment. Charlotte has served on the board of the Cham- ber’s Young Professionals, which she believes helps Columbus attract and retain young entrepreneurial tal- ent and leadership. She has also served in many roles with the American Business Women’s Association in Har- ris County. In her free time, Charlotte and her husband Charles enjoy scuba diving, spear fishing, traveling and tending to chickens, turkeys and goats on their property in Harris County.

NANCY STRICKLAND Vice President, Business Banker 706.644.4863

Nancy Strickland does not fit the stereotypical image of a buttoned-down banker. The petite and vivacious Vice President/Business Banker at CB&T believes in getting to know her customers and their families. Her goal is to pro- vide the financial services they need to grow and support their business and give them the personal attention they deserve.

She is primarily a Relationship Manager for businesses with revenues less than $10 million. That means she han- dles all their financial needs, from loans to deposits. “I want my customers to have the confidence that

anything they need, I will take care of it for them,” she explains.

Nancy has a wealth of experience to back up her per- sonable style. She started as a Bank Examiner with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) after grad- uating Magna Cum Laude from Jacksonville State Univer- sity in Alabama. The relentless travel requirements for the federal agency led her to seek a more family-friendly job. In 1996, the Alabama native came to Columbus where she began working in commercial banking. Last year she moved to CB&T primarily because of the company’s commitment to customers and family values. Her banking background also makes Nancy a sought after volunteer. She is the Treasurer of the Muscogee Rotary Club and has served for 10 years as Treasurer and Chair of the Budget Finance Committee of Concord Bap- tist Church in Alabama.

In addition, she and her husband Stan stay active with

their two children, Rob and Kerry, who are very involved in sports. CB&T’s support of family is the primary reason she is so pleased to be working for the company.
