March 30 The Columbus Symphony Orchestra presents “This Precious Stone, This England. ” This con- cert features two works by English Composers, both written in the early part of the 20th century. American violinist Jennifer Fritzsche brings her su- perlative technique and refined musical taste to the Elgar concerto. Vaughan Williams’ symphony is an evocation of London in the early 1900s in- cluding references to Big Ben and a chilly town square on a November afternoon. April 7 - August 11 The Columbus Museum presents “Center for Culture: The Bradley Property and the Olmsted Gardens.” This exhibition will provide a history of the Museum and grounds and their role in the cultural history of the city of Columbus. In ad- dition to the garden, the exhibition will explore the legacy of businessman and philanthropist W.C. Bradley, his home in which the Museum


was founded and the Wynnton area in which it is located, and the uses of the Bradley property over the years for such institutions as the public library and the administrative offices of the Muscogee County School District. It will include a variety of images, blueprints, correspondence and objects associated with the history of the Museum and grounds, as well as home videos featuring the Bradley family during their ownership of the prop- erty.
