The new Delmatic Metro Desktop Touchpad from Delmatic is a versatile controller that helps to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions while giving users unparalleled control of their local environment from a single device. As such, the Touchpad is a wireless controller with intuitive context-sensitive graphical screens and a wide selection of software-configurable functions. Controllable parameters include light levels and lighting scenes, temperature, glare/shading and audio-visual functions – all from an interactive, desktop device. The Metro Touchpad can be used in both general offices spaces and in meeting rooms. In either case the touchpad itself is wireless and communicates to a ceiling mounted receiver using infra-red signals. In a general office space it will control light levels, temperature set point and automatic blinds, whilst in a meeting room it can be used to control light levels, select pre-set lighting scenes and control audio- visual equipment.
The unit includes an integral temperature sensor, so that room temperature is measured at desk level and there is no requirement for wall-mounted temperature sensors and associated wiring. The Metro Touchpad can also be combined with a Delmatic multisensor, which combines a photocell sensor with a motion detector.

A.O. Smith has launched the BMS interface for the BFC, SGE and SGS appliances.
By using the BMS interface you can extract data from the appliance. This data can be converted to your Building Management Software which enables you to monitor the hot water installation.
The BMS interface converts the information of the installation to
a ModBus protocol, one of the most used protocols in building management.
The BMS interface can monitor almost 50 parameters including Legionella settings, fault indications, the contribution of the solar system, temperatures in the appliance, burning hours, etc. The complete list of parameters can be found in the instruction manual on the website.
Monitoring the Legionella settings and checking the programme is very important. The BMS interface can register, by processing the information regarding the temperature in the tank, that the Legionella programme ran at a specific time and date.

Dimplex is again expanding the UK’s widest range of heat pumps with the launch of the new LA PMS medium temperature range of air source units. Available in 8 or 14kW capacities, the single phase LA PMS offers variable water flow temperatures of up to 65°C, weather compensated, making it the perfect choice where a complete domestic heating and hot water solution is required.
The range can be used either as the sole heating source, or in bivalent mode to supplement an existing heating system, and is ideal for installations where higher heating temperatures are required, or for the efficient production of stored hot water.
Designed for outdoor installation, the range features a corrosion resistant stainless steel inner frame and powder coated outer housings for robust weatherproofing. To maximise energy efficiency, an energy optimised auto adaptive defrost cycle has been incorporated, while to minimise environmental impact, the range uses R290, a naturally-occurring refrigerant with GWP of 3.

The Deskspan Access System is a unique system that is manufactured to span over desking to gain safe access to lighting, fan coil units, air conditioning etc.
It is designed to clear computer monitors and standard partitions yet allow space between ceiling and platform to let the operative work on a properly guarded platform.
It is made in standard lengths with inside span of 2.5 metres, 3.2 metres or bespoke lengths of up to five metres. Features include aluminium/lightweight construction and an adjustable guardrail platform height. It can also fit into most lifts, can pass through double doors without dismantling and can be assembled in approximately two minutes.
