ospital planning and design requires a
detailed understanding of the operational requirements of the proposed medical facility in terms of the type and volumes of services that
will be offered to patients. These requirements are in terms of the out-patient visits, procedures, in-patient bed requirements for critical and acute care beds and surgeries.
