Gina A. Hough is a new partner at Anderson Kill’s Washington, D.C. offi ce where she has joined the Intellectual Property group. Ms. Hough comes to Anderson Kill from Dickstein Shapiro LLP. Nationally recognized for her work as counsel to fi nancial services fi rms in the intel- lectual property arena, Ms. Hough focuses her practice on IP portfolio strategy, and licensing and technology transactions. Her work on behalf of banks and other fi nancial services organiza- tions also includes insur- ance coverage litigation, including cases against major mortgage insurers. A former vice president and deputy general counsel at Fannie Mae, Ms. Hough has extensive corporate in- house experience spanning the full range of IP matters. She holds an A.B. from Smith College and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.


JAMES C. HO Partner


JOSH FRANK Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP


James C. Ho has rejoined Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP as a partner in the Dallas offi ce, after serving for three years as the solici- tor general of Texas. Mr. Ho will continue to focus his practice on complex appellate, constitutional, and business litigation. “I want to assemble the strongest appellate team in Texas, and it’s hard to imagine a better founda- tion than the fi rm with the strongest appellate practice in the nation,” he says. An active member of the Asian American legal community, Mr. Ho is co-chair of the Judiciary Committee of the National Asian Pacifi c American Bar Association and a recipient of the Association’s Presidential Award. He earned his B.A. in public policy with high honors from Stanford University, and a J.D. from the University of Chicago, also with high honors.


General Counsel DHL in the Americas


Josh Frank is general coun- sel of DHL in the Americas, based in Plantation, Florida. DHL has three businesses in the Americas region: DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding, and DHL Global Mail. In his position, Mr. Frank manages a legal department of more than 30 professionals and is responsible for all legal issues in the region, includ- ing employment, labor, employee benefi ts, and contractor relationships. Before becoming general counsel, Mr. Frank was a vice president in DHL’s legal department responsible for compliance labor, and employment. Prior to joining DHL, he was assistant general counsel for Ryder System Inc., and an associ- ate at Proskauer Rose LLP. Mr. Frank graduated cum laude with an honors degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.


TOM EVANS


2010 Corporate Counsel of the Year—State Bar of Texas Minority Counsel Program


Tom Evans, vice president and general counsel of Merchandising, Marketing and Supply Chain for Walmart’s U.S. operations, was named the 2010 Corporate Counsel of the Year at the State Bar of Texas Minority Counsel Program’s (TMCP) annual conference. Mr. Evans was recognized for his leadership and dedication to promoting diversity, both at Walmart and in the legal profession. He also was acknowledged for his commitment to men- toring high school students and engaging in community service projects. During his acceptance remarks, he challenged the 400 attend- ees to look for opportunities to make a difference on an individual level. “To change a career and change a life,” he said. Mr. Evans holds a B.A. from Trinity University and a J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law.
