Courses run for seven days and apart from teaching the RYA syllabus, time is taken to explore this fantastic area. We also concentrate on culinary matters with good food and wine. In addition to RYA courses, we offer pure cruising to give experienced (or inexperienced) sailors sea miles. Fourteen day cruises are available to cruise the Outer Hebrides and St Kilda.

Practical RYA courses are available on modern well equipped yachts. Courses are available from Competent Crew to Yachtmaster preparation. During the five days the experienced instructor will conduct your training in the waters around the Isle of Skye. This might be to the Small Isles or north up the Inner Sound to Portree, depending on prevailing weather.

Geronimo Sailing School offers students the chance to sail, (in our opinion) some of the best sailing waters in the UK if not the world. If you do not believe us then come and prove us wrong. Give us a call to discuss your requirements.

Forthsail provides the highest quality tuition to students aboard the Sigma 38, ‘Stark Ravin’. We operate out of Port Edgar marina near Edinburgh, and cruise within the Firth of Forth and the North Sea. This area covers all aspects of sailing from very busy shipping channels to sleepy little fishing harbours and can provide a very varied and interesting experience.

Enjoy your training in one of the best cruising areas in the world. Maximum of four students with the chance to enjoy the wonderful scenery of the islands while learning with an Ocean Yachtmaster Instructor with over 230,000 miles experience at sea. Shorebased courses including SRC and 1st Aid run at dedicated centre.

CENTRAL SCOTLAND SEA SCHOOL has been training yachtsmen and yachts women since 1994. Based on the wonderful West Coast of Scotland we offer friendly and relaxing courses in some of the most beautiful and majestic scenery in the world. All practical courses, except Start yachting (2 days) are conducted over 5 days onboard one of our Sail Training Vessels.

Catima Sailing aims to provide a professional service with safe and happy sailing. Our personalised service aboard our luxury Bavaria 46 and Hanse 400E provides a unique experience to clients. We provide the full range of RYA sailing courses, and we operate on the west coast of Scotland (40 minutes from Glasgow), one of the most beautiful sailing areas in the world.

First class tuition, excellent home cooked food, top quality yachts and an unbeatable sailing area. A maximum of four students on the smaller yachts and a choice of start days. Special family and ladies courses available as well as 14 day course to St Kilda arranged. Familiarise yourself with the area in preparation for future bareboat charters with Alba Sailing.
