Roslyn joins Coface from The Credit Insurance Management Company Ltd (CIMCO) – specialist credit insurance brokers in Ireland – where she had worked for 11 years, most recently as head of client relations. Prior to this, Roslyn worked at Citibank. Ellen has worked in the insurance industry for a number of years and brings a wealth of experience with her. Prior to joining Coface, she spent 18 months with Chartis in Dublin as a commercial combined underwriter for new and existing business as well as in Australia – prior to this Ellen worked at Allianz for four years.
Ashley appointments
Ashley Commercial Finance is delighted to announce the appointment of Earl O’Connell as regional sales director. Earl brings with him over 10 years’ experience within the industry and will represent Ashley in the east Midlands area, where he will focus on further developing and strengthening the Ashley profile. Commenting on his appointment, Earl said:
“At Ashley, there is very much a can do culture. As well as being approachable and helpful, the systems are simple and effective. Ashley are fast and efficient in providing cashflow for the smaller business.” Brian Fisher has also been appointed as
regional sales director for Yorkshire and the north east. Brian further strengthens the sales team, servicing and developing business to ensure Ashley’s continuing presence in this area. He joins the company with experience in business development and finance. Daniel French Paul Muscutt
Hammonds LLP is boosting its business recovery and insolvency teams in London and Birmingham with the promotion of two new partners, Paul Muscutt and Daniel French. Paul is a specialist in all aspects of contentious and non-contentious insolvency, with a focus in the banking and asset-based lending sectors. He joined the Hammonds business recovery and insolvency team in London in 2001 and has acted primarily for financial institutions, insolvency practitioners and corporate clients. Previous experience includes acting for the administrators in the administrations of the Poole Pottery and Pinnacle Entertainment and representing corporate creditors in the insolvency of Global Trader (Europe), a failed FSA-regulated derivatives broker. Paul has recently completed a nine-month secondment at Barclays Bank plc where he has provided restructuring and
insolvency advice to the bank’s business support teams. Daniel’s expertise covers non-contentious insolvency and business restructuring advice to insolvency practitioners, institutional lenders and major corporates. He has much experience in distressed business sales, with a particular interest in real property issues arising within an insolvency context. Daniel joined Hammonds in Birmingham
in 2001 and was promoted to senior associate in 2007. He has advised key stakeholders in connection with several major insolvencies in the Midlands and acted in relation to businesses operating across a broad range of industry sectors. Recent experience includes advising on the administrations of children’s clothing retailer, Adams Childrenswear Limited, Metal Pressings Limited, a major automotive parts supplier, and Observer Standard Newspapers.
