PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

NEW INFORMATION. NEW OPPORTUNITIES. SAME GOAL: EVOLUTION.

It’s been said that: “Change is inevitable. Growth is optional.”

The Blue Book Network’s 103-year history of growth is founded on a steadfast commitment to careful evolution. Our information solutions have continued to grow in order to successfully meet the evolving needs of our members and the construction industry.

I’m proud to introduce The Who’s Who in Building & Construction. This new, regional magazine is built on the foundation the industry has come to rely on from The Blue Book Network—quality, accurate, regional information.

It is a central part of a new era in delivering unparalleled information through a variety of formats. While the launch of a new print product

may be surprising given the popularity of our online solutions, we challenged ourselves to embrace this unique opportunity. The Who’s Who is the only publication that provides the best of both worlds in terms of regional construction content. Under each cover, you’ll find interesting local stories about the people who build this industry—and—the critical buyers’ guide information you need to build your projects.

From the first directory in 1913, to our website launch in 1997, to the deployment of thebluebook.com’s growing suite of applications, our path has always been steered by the industry’s challenges—and opportunities. We are indebted to our founder and Chairman, James O’Malley, for providing this compass to all of us as Employee-Owners of The Blue Book Network.

As you move through the pages of this inaugural edition, I hope you find The Who’s Who both engaging and informative. I welcome your feedback. You can be certain that “continuous evolution” will remain our company’s driving force as we work to help you build success today and in the years to come.
