Baker Roofing has strong roots in the Raleigh-Durham area. The company and its employees strive to give back to the commu- nity that has supported it for over a century,


Providing sheet metal contracting services, Baker Roofing replaced the copper dome on the Kansas Statehouse. The preservation and restoration project earned a 2014 North American Copper in Architecture Award.


A few years ago, the roofing contractor stepped up to Habitat for Humanity’s call for aid in its Wake County Home Builder’s Blitz. “At Baker, we are committed to giving back to organizations that support and strengthen our community. We believe that giving back is simply the right thing to do,” said Mark Lee, President of Baker Roofing, in a 2013 article published on his company’s website. “We are strong supporters of Habitat’s mission to provide safe, affordable housing and are excited to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Wake County.” The company had originally agreed to install two asphalt shingle roofs, but ended up installing four roofs in just one day.


In addition to its help building homes for those in need, Baker employees contribute time and effort to raise funds for the local Boys and Girls Clubs and The Salvation Army of Wake County. The company and its leaders strongly support these organizations and continually look to play
