Cameron Smith’s Bishop Arts Modern (BAM) Gallery is emerging as a go-to resource for designers and collectors with a discerning eye for originality and value. As the flagship in the burgeoning Bishop Arts Co-Op, BAM is living up to its acronym. “Our first show on April 8 was a smashing success, with more than a dozen pieces sold and glowing reviews from the hun- dreds that attended. I’m deeply humbled by this resounding affirmation and can’t wait for my following three exhibitions this year,” says Smith. The Bishop Arts Co-Op is home to seven studios, including Oak Cliff’s venerable Decorazon Gallery, and artists Willie Baronet and Loran Thrasher. “There’s a bold yet under- stated vibe here at BAM that’s unique. It’s authentic, casual and deeply visceral. It has been incredibly gratifying to satisfy buyers looking for contemporary design with a keen sense of style. We’ve also been collabo- rating with builders and realtors that are using our artwork to stage some breathtaking homes. Modern art is a key ingredient in dramatically elevating the impact and value of modern architecture. We’re here to help make that happen,” says Smith. Mark your calendar as BAM’s
