mented a private label, “Nature’s Recipe,” in 0.5 and 1 liter sizes. The plant is International Bottled


Water Association certified, in- spected yearly by NSF and Army veterinarians. The on-site lab and certification is used daily to verify wholesomeness.

Management Academy offer ambi- tious associates skills to become managers in the Exchange’s stores and restaurants. The Merchandising Directorate has added an academy for its entry-level managers at HQ. The academies run for four


months, with panels of managers deciding at the conclusion whether candidates achieved the course ob- jectives and should be considered for more responsibilities. All acad- emy candidates must complete the Management Development Program, designed to develop the fundamen-

Retail and restaurant academies The retail and restaurant oper-


ation academies, which run from March to June and July to October, provide instruction on: • store or front-line operations • performance standards and evaluations

Academy begins in August, runs for 12 weeks and will focus on: • Exchange and Merchandising Directorate operations


• Professional and personal devel- opment, including critical-think- ing skills and shadowing experts as they perform their jobs.
