US Lacrosse will
unveil its $15 million, 45,000-square foot headquarters and Tierney Field — funded exclusively by private donations from a lacrosse community eager to witness its impact on the sport — in a grand opening event Sept. 9-11. “This is a landmark
occasion for the organization,” said Steve Stenersen, president and CEO. “Having a home that can stimulate great work product, attract great people and serve as a national center for our sport and volunteer structure is a real milestone for us.” In a wide-ranging
interview with Lacrosse Magazine editor-in- chief Matt DaSilva, Stenersen mused on nearly two decades of growth that led to this moment — and how a 12- acre campus in Sparks, Md., will become a breeding ground for game-changing innovation.
