Te University of Delaware secured
its fourth consecutive U.S. Intercolle- giate Team Championships title April 9–10 at its home rink, Fred Rust Ice Arena, in Newark. With 103 points, the Blue Hens topped the nine-school field. Dart- mouth College finished second with 81 points, while Boston University placed third with 74.5 points. “It was especially satisfying because it was on home ice, but also because skating at home comes with more pres- sure to skate well,” University of Dela- ware coach Joel McKeever said. Te University of Delaware has
won five of the last six intercollegiate titles, losing only to Dartmouth in 2012.
“For me personally, even if we don’t win, as long as we do our best — that’s what matters most to me,” McKeever said. “I remind myself of that each year and it pushes us to work even harder.” Senior Hannah Kimberly has been a member of the Blue Hens for the past

year,” he said. “In our program, every- one is treated equally. Te freshman make just as much of a contribution as the seniors do.”
While many skaters walk away
from the sport during their college years, the intercollegiate skating pro- gram provides a chance to stay involved. “Collegiate allows them to skate on
their own terms,” McKeever said. “A lot of skaters love the sport, but very few
