A change of pace awaits at Baycrest Apartments, one of Grand Lake’s newest residenƟ al property developments.

f you think the phrase “debt-free” has a nice ring to it, why not forego the mortgage hassle and check out the many conveniences of apartment-style living you’ll ⇒ nd at Baycrest?

Not only does Baycrest oī er minimal commitment for those not ready to make the leap into home ownership, the sharp-looking, 72- unit development is conveniently situated between two golf courses— Cherokee Grove and Patricia Island—and just minutes away from Grove’s Upper Elementary School. Downtown Grove and Interstate 44 access are both a short drive in either direcƟ on from the addiƟ on.

“We wanted to be central to everything. We are close to the lake and we have all the ameniƟ es,” said Baycrest Apartments owner Rami Masri, who said the complex has city

water and is served by REC electric service.

Added Masri: “We’ve known for many years that there was a need for something like this. We felt that Grove was long overdue for aī ordable, transiƟ onal housing. We’ve never really had anything quite like this and we wanted to address that.”

Masri and his family have been ⇒ xtures in the Grove community

since relocaƟ ng from the Tulsa area 15 years ago. Sixteen years before that, Masri met a Grove girl, Benee CorleƩ , while aƩ ending The University of Oklahoma. He married CorleƩ in 1991 and the two have three sons, Bobby, Tarik and Trey, all of whom, like their mother, graduated from both Grove High School and OU.

The consummate businessman, Masri owns Coldwell Banker Shangri-La Realty. In 2009, he purchased Polo Club, a development on the south end of Grand Lake.

Aside from his investments, Masri has a heart for the community. He was a member of a Grove school board that iniƟ ated the passing of a bond issue to update school faciliƟ es. He was also a member of the Integris Grove Hospital FoundaƟ on Board of Directors that oversaw fundraising and construcƟ on of a new hospital.

“I always try to stay involved in the community,” said Masri. “I know this town is a special place and I want to see it grow and prosper.”

Masri said a feasibility study for the Baycrest project was conducted about three years ago. With a team of investors in place, ground was broken in September of 2015. A liƩ le over a year later, the ⇒ rst units were move-in ready.
