LECO Corporation, Berlin, opened its new European Appli- cation and Technology Center in October 2015. LECO, a manufac- turer of analytical and mass spec- trometry instrumentation, built the facility with its latest analyti- cal technology in the applications lab, having close to 25 LECO instruments available for hands- on customer demonstrations and application work. The center also features lecture rooms to educate visiting employees and customers through workshops, seminars and employee trainings.

The BMW Hams Hall engine plant in Coleshill, U.K., has finished upgrades associated with a multimillion dollar investment. More than one million compo- nents were machined at the plant for the first time in 2015, includ- ing a number of engine block castings. The project was part of a broad $1.13 billion investment that spans BMW Group’s U.K. manufacturing sites.
