Mobile Dust Collectors for Training, Education

Camfi l Air Pollution Contr ol (APC), Jonesboro, Ark., an- nounced its expanded fl eet of

mobile dust and fume collection systems

are available to provide training and education. T e trailer-mounted units are available on request and may be used for dust collection seminars or informal training on the basic principles of dust collector design, selection and operation. T ey are also being used to demonstrate the features of the Farr Gold Series dust collectors at professional meetings, trade shows

and onsite customer events. Visit www.camfi for more information.

BEGINNING TO END FEF Graduates in the Industry for 3 to 6 Years

Customizable Encoder Solutions

Johannes Huebner GmbH, Giessen, Germany, now off ers its bearing-free magnetic encoder series MAG as a modular system, making it possible to individually adapt it to onsite customer applications. Design and systems engineers will be able to implement encoder solutions in situations where it is not possible to use standard encoders. For instance, it is possible to design extra slim encoders for confi ned spaces or with additional wide magnetic tracks for applications involving large axial shaft movements. T e modular MAG system includes both incremental and absolute encoders, providing the user with high-precision signals. Magnetic encoders are suitable for applications with shaft diameters up to 15 cm. Addition-

ally, systems with a split pulse wheel can be used in retrofi tting solutions. Visit for more information.

Robot With Elevated Payload

Comau SpA, Torino, Italy, has added a new model to its various lines of robots. T e Smart NJ 650 features an elevated payload to complete its range of high payload robots. T e new model was designed to meet the market’s need for robots that can effi ciently manipulate components of signifi cant size and weight. T e robot can handle a payload of up to 650 kg, has a maximum horizontal reach of 2.7 m and is capable of ISO 9283 repeatability from 0.15 mm. T e Smart NJ 650 features high stiff ness and compact design. T e Smart NJ 650 is designed for multiple industrial applications, including handling, spot welding of large body parts for the automotive sector, and the manipulation of heavy components for machine tending operations,

as well as palletizing, deburring and polishing, packaging and machining in general. Visit for more information.
