METALCASTING SUPPLIES

Heat-Resistant Tagging System for Castings

Microscope for Improved Inspection

Titan Tool Supply Inc., Buff alo, N.Y., recently introduced the latest development in its modu- lar tool microscope system with its AME-5M angle-measuring goniometer eyepiece. T e new model measures 360 degrees within an accuracy of fi ve minutes with a rotary Vernier and crosshair eyepiece. It features a white scale on a black background and magni- fi cation up to 10 times to increase readability. T e modular concept enables its user to attain magnifi cations from three to 800 times using a choice of three body styles,

three mounting brackets, two illuminators and two video adapters. Visit www.titantoolsupply.com for more information.

T e X-Tag from InfoSight Corp., Chillicothe, Ohio, is a durable metal tag available to the metalcasting in- dustry to improve traceability and identifi cation. Capable of surviving atmospheric annealing ovens or cycles of high heat, the X-tag is resistant up to 1,800F (982C) for two hours and up to 1,600F (871C) for up to 48 hours. T e X-Tag also is resistant to c ommon cleaners and solvents, resists moderate abrasion and is highly resis-

tant to sunlight and fading. Visit www.infosight.com for more information.

Spray-Cooled Equipment for Metalcasters

Systems Spray-Cooled, El Dorado, Ark., an- nounced an updated version of its line of non-pres- surized, non-evaporative water-cooling equipment. Spray-Cooled equipment uses an arrangement of water spray nozzles to cool furnace roofs and other surfaces at atmospheric pressure, which can elimi- nate high-pressure leaks. T e latest update to the

system includes a new spray nozzle with a locking system to ensure consistency in delivery, reconfi gured spray patter to fl ush water more quickly, 3-D modeling for easier retrofi tting and improved construction techniques to increase durability

and resistance to breakage. Visit www. spraycooled.tsg.bz for more information.
