INDUSTRY NEWS Neenah Boosts Production With $2.5 Million Investment

The $2.5 million expansion to Neenah’s capabilities will improve throughput by 20%, from 35 tons per hour to 42.

Neenah Enterprises Inc. (NEI) has announced the completion of a $2.5 million investment at its metalcasting facility in Neenah, Wis. Te invest- ment allows for increased production of ductile iron from 35 tons per hour to 42 tons per hour, an increase of 20%. “As the industry evolves, our clients are beginning to increase the demand for duc- tile iron,” said Tom Riordan, CEO. “NEI is committed to serving the needs of our clients the best we can, which is why we needed to increase our ductile production.” Demand for ductile iron is growing in

many industries. NEI operates multiple facilities across the U.S., each offering unique capabilities and areas of expertise. Te project was completed in two

phases: the first phase was building and installing the infrastructure to support new equipment, which was finished in winter 2015, and the second phase saw the installation of equipment to expand ductile production. Neenah Foundry specializes in gray and ductile iron for heavy truck, agri- culture and construction manufacturers and suppliers. NEI’s largest facility in Neenah is able to mold gray and ductile iron both vertically and horizontally on its five mold lines, as well as produce a wide range of castings.
