(MGIF), Manitowoc, Wis., has selected A.C.E. Building Ser- vice, Manitowoc, to construct a 2,625-sq.-ft. pre-engineered build- ing that will provide additional storage space to enhance produc- tivity. Te project was expected to be completed by the end of the summer. A.C.E. has completed multiple expansions and facility projects for MGIF that span more than 40 years. MGIF is a green sand facility making gray, ductile, ADI, silicon moly and compacted graphite iron castings.


According to the Milwaukee


Journal Sentinel, Stroh Precision Die Casting LLC, Mauston, Wis. has filed for receivership in Juneau County. The high-pressure diecasting facility, seeking protec-


tion from creditors, is expected to be sold as ongoing business. The expected buyer has agreed to offer jobs to all of the company’s employees, according to the court-appointed receiver.


Fairfield Aluminum Cast- ings Company, Fairfield, Iowa, has received recertification of the ISO 9001:2008. Last year, Fairfield Aluminum Castings Company also was certified with the PED (Pressure Equip- ment Directive) according to EN10204 3.1, which is required for the casting of aluminum pressure vessels used in many European products.


Refcotec Inc., Orrville, Ohio,


has acquired a number of Ma- cor product lines from the J.S.


McCormick Company, Boyers, Pa. These products include sand additives, specialty coatings and classic foundry blackings. Ref- cotec plans to continue to manu- facture all current J.S. McCor- mick products, as well as develop new sand additive products.
