The deal between Accuride Corp. and Daimler Trucks NA includes providing Gunite brake drums for Freightliner Trucks. Accuride Corporation, Evansville,
Ind., announced it has reached a multi-year agreement with Daimler Trucks North America, Portland, Ore., to supply Gunite brake drums to Daimler’s aftermarket parts group, one of the leading parts brands in the commercial transportation industry. According to the agreement, now in
effect, Accuride will provide a portfolio of standard-duty cast brake drums for over-the-road tractor drive axle and trailer axle applications that offer OEM first-fit quality and reduced stopping
distance (RSD) compliance. Now, nearly two years into that comprehensive project, the company has announced a goal of hiring 360 employees by 2018 to boost its overall workforce to 400.
