he Queen City, home to NASCAR and Southern-style barbecue, hosted the VFW


Auxiliary’s 103rd National Convention, and the fi rst-ever Convention to welcome Auxiliary sisters and brothers. T e Charlotte event kicked off with


a rainbow of poodle skirts (and some rolled jeans) as then-National President Francisca Guilford did one of her favorite things: she danced. And then everyone danced the afternoon away to Motown and Soul favorites from the group, T e Blue Tips Rhythm Revue.
