ational President Francisca Guildford chose the beautiful and hospitable site of the Majestic Elegance Resort, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, for the 2016 Mid-Year Conference.


More than 300 members joined her there for meetings, programs information and renewal in order to continue and accomplish the goals of the organization. The National Council of Administration Meeting conducted

The Audit Report and approval for the year was postponed to the next Council meeting, DV WKHUH ZHUH WHFKQLFDO GLIÀ FXOWLHV ZLWK VRPH &RXQFLO PHPEHUV receiving a copy. However, National Senior Vice-President Colette Bishop did report that the Audit was “clean,” meaning that the LQGHSHQGHQW DXGLW À UP IRXQG WKH $X[LOLDU\·V DFFRXQWLQJ SUDFWLFHV to be sound and acceptable. Owens gave some tips and advice on the upcoming National Convention. There are some changes to the agenda this year, so please see the new one on Page 16 of this magazine. Also, please be aware that if you are not attending National Convention, you will NOT be mailed a packet. Only register if you know you are going. Director of Programs & Communications Cara Day gave a report


on the recent Membership Exit Survey. Those former members who paid dues in 2014 but not for 2015 were sent a survey that asked questions about why they decided not to renew. The number one reason given was a lack of a dues notice. All Auxiliaries are encouraged to make contact with every member in their Auxiliary at least twice a year to remind them about dues if they have not paid. The National Ambassadors spent time talking about last


events and deadlines for their programs, then gave many ideas on what members can yet accomplish in each program.
