Our Nine Ships Selected for the Destinations The Tauck approach to river cruising is to first identify the most rewarding destinations and then weave them into a seamlessly choreographed journey. At that point, we thoughtfully match the right ship with the itinerary. Along the European waterways, all riverboats must be narrow enough to fit through the many locks we navigate, and ship length is also a key consideration for both speed and port access. The Tauck Destination Fleet includes two sizes of ships – 443 ft. and 361 ft. – to maximize our cruising flexibility. We sail our 361-ft. ships in France, where they are best suited for smaller ports, and on itineraries like Budapest to Amsterdam by Riverboat, which require passing through many locks on the Main-Danube Canal.

Creating the Tauck Destination Fleet We partner closely with Scylla, a family-run company like ours that shares our commitment to providing a superb guest experience. Scylla partners with us in the custom design, construction, outfitting and nautical operations of our Fleet. As a result, Tauck is ideally positioned to focus on what we do best – delivering an unparalleled destination experience both onboard and ashore.
