1. ARRIVE BUDAPEST / EMBARK RIVERBOAT Tour begins: 2:00 PM, Budapest. A transfer is included from Budapest Ferenc Liszt Int’l Airport or the Keleti train station directly to ms Joy, ms Esprit or ms Savor. A guided city tour includes Heroes’ Square in Pest and Fisherman’s Bastion on the Buda side of the Danube. Join us tonight aboard the riverboat for a welcome reception followed by dinner. Meals D
2. OLD TOWN BRATISLAVA & CASTLE GAMES Spend the morning cruising en route to Bratislava, a city with 1,700 years’ worth of stories to tell. At 9th-century Devin Castle, step back in time and try some medieval games. Discover facts about Bratislava’s history on plaques and amidst statues on a scavenger hunt in the city. Enjoy a cookout on the Sun Deck (weather permitting) and traditional Slovak dancing. Meals BLD
3. THE ROYAL LIFE IN VIENNA The Habsburg family reigned over the Austrian Empire for some 600 years from Vienna, leaving a legacy of palaces. Enjoy a guided visit to Schönbrunn Palace, where Queen Marie Antoinette of France grew up. In the palace gardens, head for Labyrinthikon, with a maze dating back to 1698. At tonight’s Imperial Evening at Palais Pallavicini, elegantly dressed musicians and dancers perform; they’ll even teach you to waltz! Meals BLD

4. CATACOMBS, STRÜDEL & A FERRIS WHEEL Your family’s day in Vienna begins with a tour of the catacombs beneath St. Stephen’s Cathedral; later, spend some free time as you please. Back aboard the riverboat, activities include a demonstration in making real Viennese strüdel – and tasting it! After dinner, it’s off to the famous Prater amusement park, one of the oldest in the world, featuring the giant Riesenrad ferris wheel. Tonight sail on to Dürnstein. Meals BLD
5. DÜRNSTEIN & DANUBE BICYCLING Wake up in Dürnstein, with cobblestone lanes lined with 16th- century houses. Grab a bicycle – we keep them onboard – for a leisurely ride* along the river to a country village for a treat and free time, then bicycle back to the riverboat. If bicycling is not your thing, join our guides for a walking tour of Dürnstein; if you wish, hike above the town to the ruins of Kuenringerburg Castle. 6. SALZBURG & HELLBRUNN CASTLE Dock in Linz for a visit to Salzburg, where The Sound of Music is set and Mozart grew up.
