Key Photonics and LightTrans will present their VirtualLab Fusion software. The optical design software enables the design of laser systems, diffractive optical elements, illumination systems and laser resonators. VirtualLab Fusion provides fast physical optics simulation techniques and a variety of design and optimisation tools. In addition, both companies will present two talks on 12 October at 11:00am and 12:20pm: ‘How to do fast physical optics design of laser systems’ in the Optical Engineering and Design conference; and
that affect laser performance, to ensure the alignment and proper operation of CO2

The M2-200s is an ISO 11146-compliant system that automatically measures laser beam quality in less than two minutes. The compact, portable unit features a CCD camera for use with pulsed or CW lasers of 266-1,300nm wavelengths. The system automatically measures M2, beam waist location and width, divergence, astigmatism, asymmetry ratio, and the Rayleigh range for each axis. Input beam sizes can range from 0.5 to 10mm. A manual mode is available for
beams that are too large or too small, or for wavelengths outside the standard optical train.

RedLux will exhibit its OptiLux- SD digital solution for controlling scratch-dig inspection processes. The instrument is calibrated against a set of industry recognised comparator standards and is able to resolve surface imperfections as small as 5µm using an objective dark-field measurement technique. RedLux has enabled users to inspect and analyse a clear optical aperture, providing repeatable, traceable measurements that account for all of the accumulation rules defined in the comparator standards, adding weight to manufacturers’ quality assurance.
