Chalice of Light B

orn in Los Angeles in 1953, Ronald G. Ross shared: “I considered myself an artist early on. But I didn’t start getting recognized by classmates and teachers until about age seven. From that point, art continued to be my primary interest. Clay, pencil, pen, ink, and painting were the mediums of interest. Since the 1990s, I studied bronze and glass casting, glass blowing, leaded glass and sculptured glass combinations.” His work refl ects the multi-dimensional experiences in life: physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental, as well as the many underlying depths beyond the obvious surface. These underlying issues effect our lives in ways that we don’t always understand, or that are not logically explainable—the subtle cycles of nature, of cosmic energy, displaying growth and retreat, activity and rest, like different seasons of perception. Chalice of Light is acrylic on canvas and like all of his work, is completely hand- created. Ron graciously allowed this work to be the background for his sister, Diane Ross’s book, “Meditations for Miracles.” Ron has shown his work from Palm Springs, California, to Hot Springs, Arkansas. One of his works “Complex Issues, Study with a Master” is on permanent display at the Hot Springs Civic and Convention Center in Arkansas. Ron crossed over on July 3, 2015 near Palm Springs. His works continue to delight and inspire others.

Free Seminar: Neurofeedback Therapy Program for Kids with ADD, ADHD and Anxiety

N

eurofeedback Therapy has been in use for over 40 years, but is surprisingly unknown,

despite very positive reviews. Clinical fi ndings have reported a success rate of 80% to 90% for clearing ADD/ADHD symptoms and a 70% to 80% success rate for clearing anxiety symptoms. Studies have also shown that

neurofeedback therapy outperforms medication therapy 3 to 1. Neurofeedback, formerly called “brainwave biofeedback,” measures brain

waves. If brain frequencies in certain areas are chronically too high or too low, this inhibits or over-activates parts of the brain, causing brainwave patterns associated with the symptoms of anxiety, depression, and ADD/ ADHD. Neurofeedback therapy is a way to retrain the brain to function in an appropriate way and do its job correctly. Cannizzaro Integrative Pediatric Center provides evidence-based, effective

natural treatment plans for healing and has now introduced a Neurofeedback Therapy Program for its patients with ADD, ADHD, anxiety and other neurological disorders. Integrative medicine combines well-rounded, natural care with conventional medicine and addresses the root cause of symptoms. For more info about integrative pediatric medicine, go to www.MyCIPC.com. On Thursday, February 9 at 6:00 pm, CIPC welcomes all parents to an in-

offi ce event on the topic of How Neurofeedback Therapy Benefi ts ADD, ADHD and Anxiety. RSVP is required. To RSVP, email NurseMel@MyCIPC.com or call the offi ce at 321-280-5867. Cannizzaro Integrative Pediatric Center is located at 357 Wekiva Springs Road, Longwood, 32779.
