Hi All, and welcome to our February issue.
I don’t know how many times I’ve heard people complain about the month of January, saying how they can’t wait for it to be over and it’s depressing. I love this month and especially like walking on a cold winters morning, with the chill on my face and being wrapped up warm. I’ve even enjoyed walking in the rain, it’s therapeutic not having a care in world and just enjoying being in the company of my beloved dog. Talking of walking in the rain, our sons’ school class assembly recently was all about water, and he sang ‘Singing In The Rain’, with two of his classmates. We were particularly proud because he sang his heart out despite almost losing his voice due to being unwell.
Last month was the usual blur of activity, both in work and with the family. The children have now started a new hobby, athletics, which means that our son and daughter only have one day of the week free from any activities, which is great for their health, but not so great for our bank balance!
The much anticipated snow at this time of the year never materialised, although we always live in hope for this month. Luckily, January was pretty dry on the whole, which means it is bound to rain every day this month!
We are lucky enough to have several brand new contributors to the magazine this month, writing about a diverse range of topics which we hope you enjoy. Louise and I love receiving and reading articles from people who perhaps are writing for a magazine for the very first time, it can be very exciting.
Finally, to cheer all our lovely readers up, head over to our facebook page
www.facebook.com/Cardifftimes/
to be in with a
chance of winning tickets to see ‘Tonight’ from the West End, and for the little ones there’s a competition up for grabs to see ‘Mr Bloom’s Nursery Live’.
Until next month, happy reading. EDITORIAL 029 2046 3028
