Local charities benefit as charitable foundation celebrates £7 Million milestone
Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation has thanked people
in
Cardiff for helping it to reach its £7m donation milestone. More than 170 charities and good causes have received more than £55,000 through the
Society’s
Cardiff branch since the Charitable Foundation’s first donation in 1999. Cardiff Foodbank, Latch Welsh Children’s Cancer National
Charity Autistic Society and Cymru
are among those to benefit from donations. Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation is funded through the Small

Drop-in event for Cardiff residents to help reduce energy bills
The Welsh Government Warm Homes Nest scheme will be at Cardiff Central Library on Wednesday 19 April. The team will be available from 9am to 12pm to help people who are struggling to heat their home, providing free energy saving advice and support on how to reduce energy bills.
In addition to advice, people who receive a means tested benefit and live in a home that is hard to heat may also be eligible for free home energy efficiency improvements from Nest.
