Spring Bank Holiday Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival
The Railway Children at Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway
With over 100 exhibitors and more than 8,000 visitors enjoying the festivities in 2016, for the second year this festival will again host a new open-plan layout, with a mixture of marquees and colourful traditional market stalls providing a spacious area for guests to experience some of the very best produce on off er in South Wales and beyond. Winner of the BBC’s T e Apprentice show, Alana Spencer, will be bringing her Ridiculously Rich sweet treats to the Festival and will take part in a live demonstration. As well as Alana’s demo, visitors to the festival can expect live demos of culinary expertise from a number of local chefs throughout the weekend.
20 per cent of exhibitors will be new to the show this year, alongside favourite foodie exhibitors such as Alex Gooch Artisan Bakery, hit pop-up Hang Fire Smokehouse, Hare and Hounds of Aberthin and artisan producer, Blaenafon Cheese. For the children, there will be a variety of activities at T e Old Hall Gardens including craſt s, face-painting, live music and other food-themed fun, including a top-secret cooking challenge for young chefs.
