A Revolution in Events has now arrived!

Stephen Kiely Editor, CCRMagazine stephen@ccrmagazine.co.uk

It is hard to deny that this is an extremely exciting time for everyone at CCR. After many months and late nights of hard

work, we, at last, get the chance to reveal to the industry some very new – indeed, truly ‘Revolutionary’ – ideas of how we can run our events into the future. As is traditional, the October edition of

CCRMagazine will be given out at CCRInteractive, but this year, as many of you will know by now, things are going to be very different because of our Revolution in Events, which has given rise to CCRInteractive: the Conversation, in association with Noble

Systems,

CCRInteractive: the Big Debate, in association with Ascent Performance Group, and the Credit Excellence Awards, which we are proud to announce this month will be run in association with Qualco. It is an entirely new way of looking at

industry events, based exclusively on the round-table debates that have proven to be such a success throughout the year. As a self-confessed people-watcher, I am

industry staple issues such as vulnerability, enforcement, compliance, and future perspectives. As always seems to be the case at our

debates, industry professionals will gather with the honest intention of sharing their knowledge and perspective, and, by doing so, they know that they will be able to improve their own work for the better of their companies and their customers. Really, everybody wins when the industry

debates the big issues properly. As we wait to find out who will win the

Credit Excellence Awards, in association with Qualco, I would like to make two final observations. Firstly, a very deserved vote of thanks to

Really, everybody wins when the industry debates the big issues properly

eagerly looking forward to seeing how the dynamics of each individual debate session plays together against the backdrop of the wider event. How will individual discussions gain benefits from the networking and other debates that are happening around them? The big issues will all be up for discussion, everything

from ‘technology, speech analytics, and gamification’ and ‘the use and role of technology for your payments and collections’ through to

all the judges who have been so diligent in studying the application forms and questions to really get ‘under-the-skin’ of the applicants. It is a challenging job which requires both

industry knowledge and considerable effort, so thank you all. Secondly, I would like to commend

the efforts of our finalists. It is a founding principle of the Credit Excellence Awards that making it onto the shortlist should be a lasting achievement – being a finalist in the Credit Excellence Awards is a mark of pride that we hope will show something very special about our finalists. I look forward to meeting you all on the big day. Enjoy the magazine!
