10/15 MICROSOFT BAND 2
The Microsoft Band 2 features a curved led display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen protector. The company says that the display is more responsive than ever.
The Microsoft Band 2 also comes equipped with a range of sensors including GPS, gyroscope, and barometer (which is new) among others. These sensors will enable UV monitoring, offer guided workouts, sleep tracking, and measure calorie intake.
In addition, the Band 2 will also fetch notifications from your smartphone and show them on the display. Microsoft Health will show you more comprehensive information about your fitness level and activities. The company says that Band 2 will work with Android and iOS apart from Windows 10 mobiles. Unlike most other fitness trackers, it also tracks VO2 Max levels - the amount of oxygen the body can absorb in a minute.
The Microsoft Band 2 also features Cortana integration. Users will be able to preview emails, get calendar and call alerts, receive text messages, and see social updates.
APPLE 21.5-INCH 4K iMAC
The new 21.5-inch iMac’s screen has a resolution of 4096x2304 pixels, which is slightly larger than the conventional 3840x2160 standard also used for UHD TVs. That gives it the same pixel density as the 27-inch 5K iMac. Apple is also touting a wider P3 colour gamut than the previous sRGB offering. The CPU is listed as a quad-core 3.1GHz Intel Core i5 with integrated Iris Pro 6200 graphics, which reveals it to be a fifth-generation Broadwell model. The Iris Pro designation indicates that the integrat- ed graphics logic has a dedicated 128MB eDRAM cache which perhaps gives it enough muscle that a dedicated GPU is not required.
Apple also slipped new input devices in with its an- nouncement. The new trio feature built-in batteries that can be recharged using a Lightning cable. The Magic Keyboard has been designed with a solid base and uses the new scissor keys and slightly al- tered layout introduced with the 12-inch MacBook.
HTC ONE A9
The long awaited HTC One A9 is due to launch this month and leaked pictures of the handset has got everyone excited. It will reportedly feature bold curved edges and two wireless antenna lines running on the top and bottom edges, reminiscent to the iPhone. The front panel can also be seen with a physical button at the bottom that might double up as a fingerprint sensor as well. The rear camera on the One A9 can be seen placed on the top centre of the hand- set, unlike what we have seen in majority of Android smartphones where the rear camera module is located at a corner. The right edges houses the power and volume rocker buttons. The left side of the handset includes slots for SIM card and microSD card.
The HTC One A9 is likely to feature a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920) resolution Amoled display; 2GB of RAM; 16GB of inbuilt storage; expandable via a mi- croSD card; 13-megapixel rear camera; 4-UltraPixel front-facing camera with OIS and BSI sensors, and a 2150mAh battery. It is also said to sport a metal build with 7mm thickness.
