KYOCERA PRODUCTS ARE MADE WITH START-UPS IN MIND

Everyone who’s ever been a part of a small business knows the familiar pressures of feeling like you never have enough time, only having access to limited resource and borrowing hands to meet business goals.

Running a small business can be hectic at the best of times. The least of your worries should be the technology underpinning your organisation, allowing you to carry on winning new clients, pleasing existing ones and growing your business.

Your focus is about taking your proposition to market and standing out from your competitors. You need to fully focus on your core busi- ness objectives, with your tech seamlessly running in the background and supporting you to meet those aims.

That’s why you need the peace of mind that the technology sup- porting your business is a help, not a hindrance. You need quick, easy-to-use tech which you know isn’t going to break down every other month or need half an instruction manual to understand it. This is easier said than done - every business, no matter its size, has the challenge of finding the kit that’s not only right for them to meet their current challenges head on, but which will also help them to meet potential upcoming needs.

While printing can sometimes get painted as a twilight technology, the reality is it isn’t going anywhere soon. So many small businesses, particularly in the health, legal and creative sectors, rely hugely upon printing simply to get the job done. Furthermore, you’re probably spending more on printing than you think. Gartner estimates that up to 3% of an organisation’s total revenue is spent on print alone. Although that doesn’t sound like much, for the majority of businesses, every penny spent adds up to become thousands of pounds each year.

That’s why it’s so important for printing to be a background, hands off operation - with little input from your valuable staff to keep it running faultlessly. Reliability is imperative - because most small business- es don’t have a dedicated IT person on site to deal with every little technology hiccup.

Ease of use

Here at KYOCERA, our technicians specifically design our devices, from the very beginning, to be as easy to use as possible. We have simplified the process of setting up a new printer on a network so you can do it with minimum fuss and then get back to your day’s work. Usually with printers, you need to replace complex toner cartridges, containing the photoconductor drum and peripheral parts, every few thousand pages. What we’ve done is implemented a long-life design concept utilising various ECOSYS technologies, including amorphous silicon drums, so that only the toner needs to be regularly replaced. A conventional toner cartridge contains over 60 components – ours contains just five.

Speed is key We try to make things as simple as possible as we know how pre- cious your time is. Our new A4 MFP ECOSYS device has its toner already inserted, meaning all end-users need to do is flip a lever and you’re ready to go. Toner management alerts can be set up when toner is running low which prompts you to order a replacement.

Reliable by design We incorporate long-life technology into our products so that they’re reliable by design. The long-life drum is designed to run longer and withstand heavier workloads. These are much more durable than the organic photo-conductor (OPC) drums found in conventional prod- ucts, lasting typically 30 times longer. On average, our toner yields up to 70,000 pages.

As a result, as many as 500,000 pages can be printed without having to replace anything except toner, significantly reducing both waste and cost. The KYOCERA entry-level printer and MFP products have recommended print volumes of up to 2000 at the entry level and the midrange models can take workloads of up to to 10,000 pages.

Intuitive systems

Our devices come with our software platform HyPAS (hybrid platform for advanced solutions) allowing you to better address your unique workflow needs. Because our user interface has been designed to emulate the way we use our mobiles, to the point where you can swipe across to navigate, you won’t need to learn a whole new sys- tem, increasing efficiency. Our devices also support mobile printing, meaning you can create workflows and alter settings right from your mobile or tablet.

Access from wherever you are

As requiring access to documents wherever and whenever is the new norm, you can print straight from your phone, and use our print services with storage apps like Google Drive, Evernote OneDrive and CloudDirect. There’s no longer a need to carry hard copies around - you can connect to the cloud and print securely on the go.

We’re making life easier for the small buzzing office, one device at a time. And all of this for less than you’d think, as our products are designed to minimise both direct costs like toner as well as indirect costs such as energy usage, bringing you a much lower overall cost of ownership.
