Massive investments in Mallorca
Mallorca's golf clubs have seized their opportunity to capitalise on the island’s soaring popularity with the announcement of more than €2m worth of investment in their courses. Marriott Golf Son Antem is set to plough in
€700,000 to make course improvements, Club de Golf Son Servera has invested €600,000 and Club de Golf Alcanada is spending a further €250,000 this year alone. Golf Son Muntaner, one of the three Arabella Golf
Mallorca courses near Palma, has closed its doors until October as it replaces all of its existing grass. During the recovery period, Golf Son Muntaner members and golfers on Mallorca can still enjoy the
accommodation providers. The savings now available to BGIA members are numerous.” Destination Golf has been trading since 1992 and is one of the UK’s
longest established golf tour operators offering. BGIA chairman Nigel Freemantle (pictured) said: “Destination Golf is dedicated to arranging tailor-made travel for both social and business requirements based around golf. Through their travel industry connections they are able to offer substantial discounts which BGIA members can take advantage of. We look forward to working with Destination Golf to provide even more member benefits in the future”.
